Jen Cheek is the Director of Healthy Streets and Public Spaces at Urban Health Partnerships (UHP) in Miami, Florida. She oversees the projects that build the capacity of community members to influence changes to their built environment, ensuring the policies and decisions driving development and maintenance of parks, streets, sidewalks, trails, and other public spaces are responsive to public desires and needs. Prior to working with UHP, Jen served as Executive Director of the Farmers Market Coalition, driving national policy around food access, and as an urban planner with AECOM, working to create civic meeting spaces, preserve natural areas, and develop parks and gardens.
