Research Analyst, Urban Institute
Sonia Torres Rodríguez is a mixed methods Research Analyst at the Urban Institute, where they use empirical methods to explore racial equity, neighborhood change, equitable development, and community-engaged methods. Sonia is a part of the evaluation team for the 11th Street Bridge Park Equitable Development Plan and of the team who supported the development of the Community First Toolkit.
Sonia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University. They are currently completing a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and were recently awarded a 2021 APPAM Equity & Inclusion Student Fellowship and a 2022 Research in Color Fellowship.
